What do you think of the pink on black? I use explorer because, well, I just do, and it reads pretty well.
And does anybody know why I can't get my header picture to fit inside the pretty box? I told it to 'shrink to fit' and the blogger formatting powers are not cooperating. Stinky non-cooperative thing.
Can anybody help?
Please disregard all questions regarding the resization of any header picture. Unless you can tell me where I can view the code that is the picture. (Umm, Catherine? This is me looking at you.)

I can't help..but it's cute.

I use FF and it looks good. As for the pic I think you need to change the width tag in the html. It's set to 660 now. If you change it and not the height tho you're messing with the aspect ratio - which is probably why it's hanging over the side. Your template squished it in height-wise.
ReplyDeleteimg id="Header1_headerimg" height="209" width="660" style="display: block;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qL8lgcFKIlY/SLtRtxVlztI/AAAAAAAAAxk/6Bfk6MjDUoA/S660/DSC01636+copy.jpg" alt="the dayton time"/
ReplyDeletesee how the height and width are set? You can change that. it's in your outer-wrapper ... wrap2 ... header-wrapper .. header .. Header1 ... header-inner
but if you change the width without the height it'll affect the aspect ratio. I think you're better off cropping the picture in something else to be 209 tall by ... ack I have a conf call - I'll check back
I use Firefox, and it's kind of hard to read, but only because my eyes suck, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm clueless as to what everyone is talking about, I don't know what firefox is or all the stuff catherine was talking about, but the pink and black looks great and I like you picture I didn't realize it wasn't in the box till you pointed it out, I was wondering how you got your page to look so different, I only know how to use one of the blogger page designs, you will have to help me some time.......
ReplyDeletechange the width of the img in the img code to 648 from 660
ReplyDeleteHa! I win! I took Smart Catherine's advice and changed the code. I feel like a smarty pants pretending I can write code. But I didn't change the image, because I'm not actually a smarty pants, I just changed the width of the box. Because I could figure out where that was in my template. But I couldn't find the code for the picture.
ReplyDeleteIt's all about baby steps here at the dayton time.
And I did use photoshop to type on the photo in the header and crop it down. Other than that, the pic is straight out of the camera, shot by yours truly.
You're so sexy when you write code!
ReplyDeleteI see you figured it out ;-) That's awesome :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's fabooo now! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like it.... 'cause now I am painfully aware of how dusty my monitor is, thank you.
ReplyDeletePink and black look just fine.
ReplyDeleteThe picture looks like it is outlined .... looks just fine as it is - in my 2 cents worth of opinion.
Friday, when I come over, before I start drinking, I'm going to need to have you explain this to me, because, well, unless something involves money, I'm useless.
