a break in the weather

it was at least 50 degrees outside today.

the children romped in the yard.

they played on the swingset.

they climbed on the big plastic cube o' fun.

they clomped around the garden.

they visited bandit, the black terrier who lives behind us.

(not the hateful neighbors' dog)

we dug through layers and layers of rotten leaves...

and the best part of it all?

fresh from the garden carrots for dinner tonight.

(with a little fresh thyme for the pork chops tomorrow.)
